Fife youngster Dean Macdonald has kept up his winning streak at the weekends British Championship Kart Masters Grand Prix winning his class and collecting the prestigious Bruno Ferrari award for his outstanding drive over the weekend. Dean worked his way through from eighth on the grid in the pre-final to finish second which put him on the front row for the final, at the start of the final race Dean struggled to get in to the race line falling back through the grid momentarily, however with such determination he drove the race of his life and took the lead by half way through the final.Dean felt he was being used for slip streaming the chasing pack so let them past!!!
The travelling support from Scotland thought for a moment the race was over Dean was lying third four corners from the end when he made his move to out brake the leaders in a very clean move to take the lead. The whole packed Grandstand erupted, Saltire flags were flying and Dean Macdonald had just won the British Cadet Grand Prix.
Deans celebrations however will have to wait as he heads off mid week to Northern Ireland for the last but one race for the Future Stars British Championship round at Nutts Corner, Dean is leading the Championship by 36 points with two rounds to go.
