MSA British Cadet Championship and the FKS Championship for Mini Max and Junior Max.

Dean Macdonald has kept up his winning streak yet again at this weekend’s  double header of the British Championship in Formula Kart Stars from Northern Irelands Nutts Corner. Just after winning the British GP plate it was off to Northern Ireland to compete in the second last round of the British Championship.

Round 9 Saturday- Dean had a disappointing qualifying which gave him a grid position of 15th.  This was not going to deter him. In his 1st heat he pulled through to 3rd & his 2nd heat he pulled through to 4th.  With such a great recovery Dean started the final in 5th place.  Dean lead the final until the 3rd last lap & was put back to 9th with 2 laps to go but with the determination he scraped back to 2nd.

Round 10 Sunday-Dean finished third and first in his heats after a very difficult qualifying session, rain just before the start of the second heat allowed Dean to drive off into the distance winning the heat by a substantial margin. This gave Dean a starting grid position of 2nd  starting the final in second place was not the favoured position as it was the wrong side for the first corner, The rain started to get heavy just before the final, Dean was happy!!!! “ I feel I can drive better in the wet due to the Scottish weather we get” Dean commented and was confident before the final got underway. Dean was forced onto the grass on the first corner and dropped back to fifth place however as the rain increased he drove through the pack eventually winning the final by 3.5 seconds another step closer to winning the British Championship.
