Mr Ecclestone, president of Formula One Management Ltd has recognised how important a grounding in karts is to lengthy career in motorsport and has endorsed Formula Kart Stars giving us the strapline “The road to Formula 1 through racing and education.” Although karting can take up a lot of weekends, you have to remember that your schooling is more important than any race.
The most important thing is to enjoy your karting. It’s a great sport and the whole family can be involved. Even though FKS is a championship for junior drivers there is no rule against mum or dad buying a kart and having a go themselves. When you move into Seniors you never know, you might end up racing against the whole family!
So, if after looking at Formula Kart Stars you think racing is what you want to do, give it a go.
