Formula Kart Stars are pleased to announce the following drivers are invited by BMW to Brands Hatch to take part in a “rookie” test at Brands Hatch on July 5th. The selection was made by age and championship position.

Eligible drivers had to be in the top six in their class at the end of the 6th round and had to fit into a small age criteria (a minimum of 15 years old but no older than 16 at the end of this year).

Top six eligible drivers:

  • Junior Max Shaun Arnold
  • Junior Max Sam Marsh
  • Junior Max Oliver Norris
  • Mini Max Connor Mills
  • Mini Max Philip Rawson
  • Senior Max Sam Ward

*Philip Rawson chose not to take up this opportunity elevating JMax Bobby Thompson

From this initial test, two will be chosen by BMW to go the next step of the Talent Cup Assessment programme. One of these will be awarded a place in the Formula BMW Talent Cup Shoot out at the end of the year, which could lead to a subsidised place in the 2013 Formula BMW Talent Cup.

Formula Kart Stars wish to thank BMW for their support which will enable these six drivers to experience driving the Formula BMW cars at no cost other than their own travel expenses and, perhaps for one of these invitees, the first step on the ladder to a successful motorsport career.
